our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Lava Suit. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his music a lot.
Honestly, as soon as I pressed the play button I was blown away.
What kind of music do you expect from the founder of a label called HopePunk Records? Well, you will be amazed by the music proposed by this talented artist and producer … because it is definitely something that will leave you speechless.
When the notes began to hit me and I was surrounded by a magical and gentle atmosphere.
Deep and intense songs that make you travel with the imagination and transport you to parallel universes.
Do you remember when Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit amazed the world with the song “Behind Blue Eyes”? This is more or less what I felt listening to the songs of Lava Suit.
Harmonically perfect ballads that manage to touch the soul.
A beautiful chord progression, never banal but obviously given the musical experience of this artist we can not expect anything less.
Truly an interesting project that I absolutely recommend to everyone.

Lava Suit, an experimental project of seasoned musician and producer Gideon Kretschmer (the man behind HopePunk Records and many of its artists), explores post-rock indie/folk sounds – both original songs as well as interpretations of existing favourites.
If you like a dose of nice melodic, emo/folk inspired songs that take you back in emotional reminiscence to your happiest memories or saddest day, you will love Lava Suit. A solo outfit experimenting with stripped down productions of guitar, piano, synth, beats and its signature harmony laced vocals, Lava Suit is sure to take you on a journey.
Lava Suit is at its core an original music project, but it also loves re-interpreting favorite classics into its own signature sound – one example of this is their recently released cover of Pearl Jam’s classic “Nothingman”, and more are in the works.
