Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Le Grand Salon. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his unique compositional style.
Are you ready for a journey to a parallel ethereal universe?
Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by this magnificent music.
A mysterious and magical atmosphere that makes you feel the ‘desolation’ of infinite spaces.
This loneliness does not create despair, on the contrary, you feel part of a whole that is bigger than you.
Ancestral emotions filled my soul as I was listening to this song and I entered a meditative state where I let my thoughts fly away.
I imagined fuchsia waterfalls, red trees, I imagined distant planets, and unknown life forms. I saw the black hole in the center of the Milky Way and went through it without fear.
In the infinite black, I was not afraid I stayed there for an eternal moment, and then I opened my eyes.
This music has taken me on an incredible metaphysical journey and I’m ready again to hit the play button.

Ancestral and Magic!
Le Grand Salon is an electronic composition solo project by Pier-Luc Boivin emerging from a will for creating music that is more accessible and free of rigorous structures. Thus the project began in 2015 using digital tools to explore a near limitless world of possibilities. Le Grand Salon focuses on textures and atmosphere instead of traditional harmony and rhythms to create a soundscape.
Le Grand Salon draws its inspiration from the boreal nature of northern Québec where winter and snow dictate the rhythm of life. At first closer to a lo-fi/lounge aesthetic, the music quickly morphed into something more ethereal and ambient to become what it is today: ofttimes supported by glacial strings and a somber piano, the music of Le Grand Salon portrays a cold landscape where your mind can wander.
