Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Live In Hamburg (Vol.1) is Sloppy Joe's Ep
Live In Hamburg (Vol.1) is Sloppy Joe’s Ep

Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Sloppy Joe’s in the past but this band is back with a live Ep and this is what I think about it.

Live In Hamburg (Vol.1) is Sloppy Joe’s Ep

I knew this was a professional band the first time I heard them.

The attention to detail is obsessive. I went to see their technical rider and was impressed by the precision of the requests made by a band who want to be surrounded by professionals to help them produce a memorable show.

This determination puts Sloppy Joe’s one step ahead of many other bands that take music much less seriously. When you want to pay your bills with music you either act like it’s a real job or you won’t get anything. Hats off to this band!

Live In Hamburg (Vol.1) is a great Ep, even if it’s live the recording is very good, surely this time they found one qualified and sober system tech that allowed them to get this result 🙂

The band’s performance is perfect and it’s nice to hear the reactions of the audience, galvanized by the contagious sound of Sloppy Joe’s.

Go and listen to them, it’s worth it!

Wild Ride!

Live In Hamburg (Vol.1) is Sloppy Joe’s Ep

“Live in Hamburg (Vol.1)” is the first ever live EP by the rock power trio Sloppy Joe’s from Hamburg, Germany. When the music world was standing still during the pandemic, the band took the time to listen to their previous concert recordings. Two concerts in their hometown Hamburg have been recorded professionally: the concert for the album release of “Eight Reasons To Rock” (2016) at the sold-out Knust and the band’s release show for the long player “Devil’s Music” (2019) at Indra Musikclub. The best tracks from both concerts have now been compiled. In addition to “Devil’s Music”, the most streamed track from the band’s back catalog and also the opener of every show, “Right Decision”, “Lonesome No.1″, “Make Some Noise” and “Some Broken Hearts Never Mends” are among the track listing. These five songs perfectly capture the atmosphere of a Sloppy Joe’s concert: In addition to an energetic live sound, the interaction between band and audience is clearly noticeable. This is a contemporary document for the three rockaholics’ joy of playing live. The EP was produced in the highest audio resolution and gives you the feeling of being there live when you listen to it.”

Formed in 2011 SLOPPY JOE‘S from Hamburg (Germany) is one of the upcomers in the New Wave Of Classic Rock. Taking influences from legendary acts such as KISS, Guns n’ Roses or AC/DC and mixing in the own style – this power trio has a fresh and hard-hitting Rock sound.

Winning over audiences all over Germany and Switzerland on their first tours, the three rockaholics are just getting started: Jesse Garon (Guitar/Vocals), Johnny Angel (Bass) and Pätzy Dävey (Drums) are providing blistering guitarriffs, cutting ass bass and heavy drums. The band also gives “rock’n’roll soul” to the past five decades of music by injecting guts and class into previously cheesy pop hits such as: Love really hurts without you (Billy Ocean), Delilah (Tom Jones) or Diana (Paul Anka) with an energetic Rock show live concept. Since the release of the self-titled SLOPPY JOE’S EP the Band has performed over 150 live concerts in Europe so far.
