The sound of this band hooked me right away.
Powerful distorted guitars that give a nod to the 90s. It is evident that these guys are inspired by American rock and that they spend a lot of time in the rehearsal room because they have achieved fantastic chemistry between them.
The singer’s voice is very expressive and effective and gives the right energy to the tunes.
I really appreciated the compositional qualities and the attention to every detail. The harmonic progression is intricate and is never predictable or banal. The chord progressions keep you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
Astro-Lloyd proves to have compositional skills out of the ordinary.
LOUD NOISES is a solid album, all the songs are interesting and let you experience the unique sound universe of this band.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Astro-Lloyd is all about the love for music. Constantly seeking to widen their musical horizon by using inspiration from a variety of genres and creating their own sound and energetic live performances. They find their biggest influences in Biffy Clyros lust to experiment, the arena choruses of Foo Fighters and top this off with energy from bands like The Hives and Royal Republic.
Formed in 2011, they found their place in alternative rock and the DIY-scene. Being into the DIY-scene, Astro-Lloyd have made two releases by themselves, EP ’Planet Unknown’ in 2014 and debut full-length album ’Astro Life’ in 2017. All of Astro-Lloyds music videos are written, filmed and directed by the band. They have always wanted to get those interested in music together, arranging concerts in Malmö with the goal to get the audience to discover new music.
