Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Low Girl. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked her unique musical style.
The sound of this artist struck me immediately, already from the first notes.
Modern music that however brings with it the atmosphere of the eighties. Some nuances made me think of artists like Depeche Mode, Tori Amos, etc.
A unique and unmistakable, warm and sexy voice capable of speaking directly to the soul and the heart.
The chord progression and the general construction of the songs are never trivial and she always manages to amaze the listener with sudden twists able to entertain from the first to the last second.
Music that takes you away and makes you fly with your imagination.
I closed my eyes and I saw myself in a convertible traveling aimlessly through the green English countryside one of those days when you don’t want to see anyone and you just want to find yourself.
I really liked the light melancholy veil that accompanies the magnificent melodies proposed by this talented artist.
Big Now is Low Girl’s Ep Out Now!
Refined and Nostalgic!
Low Girl, now 24, started writing songs at the age of 12 in her hometown of Hemel Hempstead, using the process as a coping mechanism during what she describes as “lonely teenage years”. In the time since, she has been busily honing her craft, with a focus on writing about universal themes and emotions from a singularly feminine perspective.
