Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Lunar Riptide. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere of their music.
I liked this band’s sound right away.
As soon as the first notes began to hit my ears I was immediately fascinated by the sound of the guitars and drums.
A very compact rhythm section makes this band’s songs flow well. The bass follows the kick like a shadow and you can hear that the band spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to reach this musical understanding.
The guitars besides helping rhythmically also venture into arpeggios with interesting harmonic constructions.
I also liked the singer’s voice that hides many nuances and turns very rock in some passages and then abandon himself to more intimate and sweet moments.
The songs are very well thought out and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Go listen to them because it’s worth it.

Lunar Riptide is a Post-Rock flavored Alternative Band from Orange County, California. The band was founded in 2015 by Cole LaBrake (Vocals/Keys) and Deric Eaton (Guitar).
In the very early days the guys would cover songs ranging from oldies to popular indie songs at the time, as well as original material. After many lineup changes the band added Riley Little (Guitar) in 2017, as well as Bryan Hernandez (Bass) & Ramon Solis (Drums) in 2019.
