our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to MARQ Electronica. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of his music.
As we can understand from the name we are faced with a very modern and experimental artist that in addition to electronic music can mix funky and ethnic elements that create a very fascinating and innovative mix.
The bass lines in particular have struck me as they are very rhythmic and articulated.
Nice vocal choices that bring a bit of Africa in the general sound.
The chord progression is deliberately repetitive and in this way, it manages to hypnotize the listener who is transported into parallel universes.
With this music you just have to let yourself go to the groove and let yourself be carried away by the notes.

MARQ Electronica named a one man music machine by Decent Music PR returns with a smooth, sophisticated deep house vibe, using soulful vocals over dreamy piano and house music beats and a subtle but trademark funky bass proving his work with award winning producer Simon Ellis has paid off hugely this track has hit written all over it.
“I wanted to write a track that talks about corruption and lies and mixes a happy vibe with a dark undercurrent I sent the unmixed version to Simon and he really got the vibe I wanted for the track and added the funky element to give it an extra edge”
Marq continues, “2021 is going to be a year of more releases and live performances. I’ve invested in lights and video backdrops to engage an audience on another level and I have a wealth of experience in live work and I am itching to get back out there after a struggle with Covid -19.”
