Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Michael Brinkworth. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his songs a lot.
This music carries with it the charm of a way of composing music from the past.
In the melodies proposed by this artist, I heard a bit of Bob Dylan, Beatles. Deep folk songs full of meaning.
The vibes that these songs gave me were of lightheartedness and freedom.
I had a great time listening to this album which was professionally produced. This music is sincere and you also feel it in the instruments that exude the wood and the strings vibrate for real, for sure we are not faced with the usual music produced only with beats.
This is the music that I like to listen to because I feel the passion with which it is composed.
Listen to the album from the first to the last second and you will be surprised by the beauty of these songs.
Wasted Wonder is Michael Brinkworth’s Album Out Now!
Fabulous and Real!
Berlin-based Australian folk troubadour Michael Brinkworth writes and sings in the tradition of the timeless greats.
A tireless international touring act, Brinkworth’s backpack is stuffed full of heartfelt, roadworn songs. Rhythmic country guitar, entrancing harmonica and a soulful voice combine to take the listener on a journey and expose the rawness at the heart of his songwriting – vulnerable, sincere, and as honest as an old pair of traveler’s boots.
Greywood Records released Brinkworth’s debut album Somewhere to Run From in 2017, to high critical acclaim from several publications such as Roadtracks and Lie in the Sound, following several self-released CD-R compilations and collaborations with other Berlin-based artists, such as Temple Haze. His 2nd album, Wasted Wonder, recorded with his full band at The Famous Gold Watch Studios in Berlin, is out now.
