I already reviewed Cxl Mxck in the past but he is out now with a new single and I want to share my opinion about it.
Since the last time I heard this artist’s songs, I felt an incredible improvement.
The New single ‘Modern Day Romance’ is awesome it looks like this guy has found his own way.
This music is very mature and ready for big stages around the world. The production is excellent and the attention to every detail is enviable.
I liked a lot the slightly megaphonic effect of the voice in the choruses.
The song is built on a melodic and chord progression level in an impeccable way and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
While the first time I compared him to bands like Green Day now it seems to me that Cxl Mxck has found its own sound.
A growing artist to keep under the radar.

Modern Day Romance is the latest single from the British 21 year old Cxl Mxck after releasing 2 singles in 2020 and his debut EP “Me, Myself or Die” earlier this year. Cxl Mxck is an alternative artist from Cheshire England. In his first 12 months as an active artist, Mxck has been featured on BBC introducing Merseyside, Amazing Radio, Local stations and several online articles.
The success on the radio caught the attention of the local newspaper the Northwich Guardian who in late October 2020 released an in depth interview and an introducing article of the young artist, and later did an article about Mxcks debut EP.
