Good Day Noir Family,
A Floor Below’s Monuments is a full-bodied experience that feels cinematic, futuristic, and deeply human all at once.

Monuments is A Floor Below’s Album Out Now

Every track carries weight, texture, and intention, forming a journey that moves through darkness, rage, reflection, and release. It’s the kind of record that grips you through its atmosphere as much as through its energy.

“Embers to Ash” sets the tone perfectly. A cold wind-like sound opens the track, evoking an icy void before the guitars crash in, thick and relentless. The drums are heavy yet disciplined, each hit reinforcing the band’s precision. There’s a mechanical drive here that recalls Nine Inch Nails, fused with the raw heaviness of Korn. Still, A Floor Below carve their own spac. The track feels like the awakening of a machine learning to feel pain.

“Life Ordinary” explores a different emotional terrain. The pacing is slower, deliberate, almost ritualistic. Its rhythm swells and contracts, creating moments of tension and sudden acceleration that ignite a rush of adrenaline. The vocals sound like a cry through static, and the contrast between restraint and aggression keeps you on edge.

With “Cog in the Wheel,” the band delivers pure intensity. The galloping rhythm feels like a modern take on a Wagnerian charge — massive, driving, and unstoppable. Beneath the distortion, however, there’s a melodic sensibility that hints at something ancient, almost primal.

“Stargazer” dives deeper into the band’s dystopian soul. Its rhythm shifts and evolves, the bassline pulsing like machinery in motion. There’s a Type O Negative shadow here, but with a colder, more cybernetic twist. The song’s structure feels like an anthem for a digital apocalypse — commanding and hypnotic.

“Before the Fall” stands as the album’s most atmospheric piece. Soft keys and distant guitars open a portal to another world. As it builds, layers of distortion and rhythm crash down, like data collapsing in a glitch. It’s haunting and strangely beautiful.

“After the Fall” closes the album with cinematic flair. Its intro recalls the ghost of Ennio Morricone — an electronic requiem for a future long lost. The track proves that A Floor Below can be both brutal and introspective, building an ending that feels like a sunset over ruins.

Monuments is heavy, intricate, and deeply visual — a modern epic where industrial fury meets emotional gravity.

Monuments is A Floor Below’s Album Out Now

A Floor Below is a band that crafts raw, emotionally honest music from the quiet spaces where light fades and truth emerges. Their songs are shaped by the weight of anxiety, the fog of depression, and the silent battles we carry. More than just melodies, their work is a form of confession—a deeply human exploration of sorrow, resilience, and the need to be heard. Without glamorizing despair, A Floor Below holds space for vulnerability, offering connection and comfort through sound. Their music is for those learning to name their pain and for anyone who’s ever felt alone in it.
