E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Moon Museum

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Moon Museum. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I really liked the atmosphere of their songs.

This band’s sound is very original.

An ethereal sound that passes through you like the wind in a Nebraskan prairie.

Fresh and vital music that brings with it something positive but also a melancholy that hides the pain of the time passing by.

The angelic voice makes you travel with your thoughts and the distant but effective guitars frame this harmonious picture.

Drums and bass push incessantly traveling in unison to keep up the epicness and tension of these songs.

I really liked the mix where every sound element finds the right space and the song breathes well.

These songs are like air and fill your lungs and mind with memories and emotions.

Music that can speak to the heart, music that can reach the soul.

Pleasure of Peace is Moon Museum’s Single Out Now!

Powerful and strong!

Moon Museum began as a collaboration between Ian Zazueta and Ryan Joseph who knew each other from the small, close-knit San Francisco music scene. They hadn’t collaborated previously but were brought together by shared influences including Slowdive, Chameleons, and Doves.

The pair reached out to Olivia Barchard with some early demos. Olivia was working on material at the time and was struck by the sonic similarities in style. After writing a few songs exploring female and male vocal counterpoints, they recruited their good friend and accomplished drummer, Aaron Hazen.

Quote: “an impression of waves mounting the shore / frozen heartbeats echoing the glacial roar / overcoming harmful distances of silence with leonine roars“.
