Good Day Noir Family,

Mountain Song is Space Owl’s Single Out Now

I was very intrigued by this musical project.

Not only because I’ve listened to Ari Joshua’s music in the past but also because I was curious to feel the chemistry with the band. I have to say I was surprised by Space Owl’s sound.

As usual the music that rotates in the universe of Ari Joshua is refined and intricate. Collaboration with great musicians has only raised the bar. Psychedelic jazz with attention to every detail.

The voice enters only around minute 4.20. It is precisely this compositional freedom that I like about Space Owl.

They don’t follow the usual commercial rules of the chorus after a minute, etc. Here the music is king. This band asks you to indulge in the sound without asking too many questions.

They want to give you an extrasensory experience and stimulate your inner growth.

10 out of 10!

Ari Joshua, Bob Lovelace, John Ewing, and David Appelbaum started Space Owl in 2011. The band began playing original compositions around the Pacific. Original material was mostly brought in by guitarist and singer songwriter Ari Joshua, and Bob and John both contributed as well to the band material. Over the years there have been a few keyboardists and drummers in and out of the project. In 2020, Ari started releasing Space Owl music as part of his From the Vault series, and the interest in the music sparked a new interest in the band.
