Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Never Gonna Be Like It Is On TV is The Ruby Tears' Ep Out Now
Never Gonna Be Like It Is On TV is The Ruby Tears’ Ep Out Now

Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed The Ruby Tears in the past but they are back with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.

Never Gonna Be Like It Is On TV is The Ruby Tears’ Ep Out Now

The thing that immediately struck me about this new Ep from this band is the vocal interpretation.

An interpretative way that reminded me of a mix that Billy Idol and Elvis Presley with shades of Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode.

The first song of the Ep is a nice alternative rock tune, with a nice energy and with a more nocturnal atmosphere.

The second song, on the other hand, is sunnier as the title suggests. The crystalline guitar reminded me of the crisp morning air when the day is about to start.

I have to say that The Ruby Tears style always manages to entertain me as this music is sincere and direct.

It’s always a pleasure to listen to their songs. Absolutely reconfirmed and I recommend them once more to everyone.

Fresh and Mature!

Never Gonna Be Like It Is On TV is The Ruby Tears’ Ep Out Now

Born from the weirdness of the first Covid Lockdown. To date, The Ruby Tears has been an entirely online collaboration between Manchester solo musician John Goodfellow and Liverpool guitarist and songwriter Jeff Skellon.

The two songs on the single are two of our live favourites, different from each other but coming from the same place at the same time. There is a crossover of styles in each of them, Americana meets New Wave, Fuzzrock meets Country. We didn’t want to put out two songs with the same sound, that would be too easy. We are a band of split personalities, all our influences mix up and inform the others.
