E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – North Ship
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to North Ship. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their refined compositional style.
The sound of this band struck me a lot, music with evident influences of the great bands of the past that however manages to be modern at the same time.
Their compositional style reminded me in some passages that of Genesis and David Bowie. A refined sound and a never predictable and banal chord progression that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Surely this band likes experimentation and ventures into very interesting and original musical paths.
The atmosphere from their new single Green Light is hypnotic and crepuscular, a song that lives in a limbo between dark and light where shadows and shades become the protagonists.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

The North Ship are Tom Golzen, guitar, programming, vocals Francis Nørgaard Jensen, drums.
Tom and Francis both live in Copenhagen, Denmark. They have known each other for about 20 years and have played together many times.
Green Light is their third single this year. It’s about trying to psych yourself up to deal with problems. Think of it as a conversation you’d have with your mirror.
