Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Novacain. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked good vibes of their music.
The sound proposed by this band is modern and catchy, a music that puts a good mood and transfers good vibes.
Their new single stays in your head long after you’ve listened to it.
An infectious rhythm that makes you want to dance. While listening to this beautiful song I imagined myself at sunset on a beach dancing while holding a cocktail in my hands.
This band seems to have a lot of musical experience behind them in fact the chord progression is never predictable and banal and they manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
A band to watch, they are very good.
Shine On Me is Novacain’s Single Out Now!

Quote: “The bands that we have encountered throughout our hometown of Portsmouth have faded away and given up during lockdown. Our biggest strength is the perseverance not to give up on what we have worked for many years to try and achieve, and that goal remains strong. We bonded over our distaste for modern pop music and the lack of guitar bands within the charts. Influences of ours consist of bands such as The Beatles and more recently bands such as Oasis, Kasabian and The Arctic Monkeys. Over the years our sound has changed as we have grown older to introduce less stereotypical influences in our music genre such as Daft Punk and Blondie. At the centre of our songs is a classic pop record with a lot of muscle behind it. This has been a natural and exciting progression as we feel we are now becoming more unique in comparison with other bands that we compete against every gig.
At its genesis, our lead singer Dan and guitarist and songwriter Lloyd met through working at a local leisure centre. What started as a distraction to take Dans mind off a breakup, created something that would outlast multiple band members and be in its 7th year of creating and performing with one another. Our bassist Andy and drummer Mike share the same passion and drive which has made us undeterrable in our goal to be the next biggest band in Britain. As a four-piece band, we have now found our sound and identity, staying disciplined to ensure that each performance justifies our self-belief and enjoying the journey so far. Additionally, we bond over film and television, quoting most of the Family Guy series in the process.”
