Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Ophelia’s Eye. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their powerful music.
A fascinating and mysterious atmosphere invaded my room as I started listening to the music of this talented band.
I saw myself in front of a dark pine forest on a foggy day and I had to decide whether to go inside or escape.
This music made me brave enough to face the road ahead and without looking back I became part of the forest. I started running with the wolves and felt the power of nature within me.
This music is epic, powerful, and absolutely professionally produced.
The thing that I liked the most is that although the genre is metal I have heard also a hard rock approach that makes the overall sound a little more melodic and in my opinion sets it apart from many other bands making Ophelia’s Eye unique.
A band to keep under the radar because these guys know how to do it.

Powerful and Unique!
The band Ophelia’s Eye from Dulliken (CH) is a melodic death metal band that previously went by the names Project Penny and later as Red Fire Dragon.
As both names occurred to be too generic and not fitting the band’s music the band decided to change the name to Ophelia’s Eye based on the novel “The Sandman” by E. T. A. Hoffmann.
The story is about the traumatic childhood experience of the student Nathanael which makes its way to the surface through the surprising encounter with the weather glass dealer Coppola. He believes he recognizes the devilish lawyer Coppelius, who is responsible for his father’s death. When the beautiful but quiet Olimpia captivates him, he loses himself more and more between delusion and reality.
