Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Poor Edward. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music.
This music brings with it the vastness of nature. As soon as I pressed the play button and the lyrics sang “Close Your Eyes” I closed them and found myself driving on an endless Norwegian road surrounded only by a magnificent landscape.
The waterfalls of the fjords are the violins the guitars and drums are the engine and the voice the landscape.
I traveled with my fantasy and I forgot for a moment what was around me in real life.
The voice has a perfect timbre for the genre and manages to interpret the lyrics flawlessly and I believed the words sang in their songs.
The sounds and the recording are very professional. Honestly, I have not found flaws in the music proposed by this duo and I believe that they will make themselves known without effort by the masses.
No Record is Poor Edward’s Album Out Now!
Refined and Professional!
Poor Edward is the duo consisting of Martin and Kristian Tungland Rinde; two brothers from Stavanger, Norway. They released their debut album Time Is Gonna Change You in 2011. Writing and performing their own songs, Poor Edward can be classified as a mixture of pop and rock with notable folk tendencies.
Their trademark is a guitar and vocals sound, largely focused on lyrics and harmony. The music is melodious, sometimes melancholy, often understated and always authentic.
