I was fascinated by this artist’s music from the very first seconds.

A compositional style that obviously takes inspiration from traditional music. As soon as you press the play button, you feel like to be around the fire with the pioneers resting after a long day of work.

The thing I liked the most is Eliza Mary Doyle‘s vocal timbre, a direct and sincere voice. The interpretation is very touching, a voice that seems to hide an ancestral secret and nuances that speak directly to the listener’s heart and soul.

I’ve always been a lover of the Banjo and this instrument is predominant in this album.

Pretty Strange is a solid and beautiful album that follows a coherent thread. I recommend everyone to take part in this unique musical journey. Abandon yourself to the music of Eliza Mary Doyle you will be surprised by the quality of her music.

Eliza Mary Doyle is a JUNO award winning alt-country/folk artist from Canada. She is also the former banjo player for The Dead South. Her songs are unique, catchy, and melody driven, and are an exciting alt-country/folk blend. Featuring driving banjo, guitar and pedal steel licks throughout that keep listeners engaged in this fresh take on the Americana genre.
Doyle’s latest studio album, “Pretty Strange” is a 10 track collection of bangers captured live at Sidekick Studios in Nashville, TN.
