Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Sarpa Salpa in the past but they are out now with their new Ep “A Feeling You Can’t Replace”and I want to share my thoughts about it.
The 80’s streak in this band’s music is reconfirmed.
Songs that make you want to dance and push you to get free and let yourself go to sound music.
“Stick To What You Know” in particular impressed me.
The melodic construction and harmonies make it already a worldwide hit in my opinion.
This song just needs to be discovered by a few people to go viral, there is nothing missing since the genre that this band proposes is very much in vogue today.
The production is as usual excellent, everything in the right place and every nuance kept under control.
Frankly, I think it’s just a matter of time but this band lacks nothing to make the masses go crazy around the world…then don’t say I didn’t tell you so!
A Feeling You Can’t Replace is Sarpa Salpa’s Ep Out Now!
Sarpa Salpa have kicked off this year with the release of their sophomore EP ‘A Feeling You Can’t Replace’. Tying together their three most recent singles along with two new tracks and a remix to be released on Friday 2nd April 2021.
Building on their previous successes, the bands most recent release ‘Another Life’ garnered support from Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1, as well as on BBC Introducing (Radio 1), Radio X, Amazing Radio & across the Student Radio Association Network.
The 6 track EP, written and recorded during the ongoing pandemic posed a new challenge for Sarpa Salpa. No longer being able to perform live gigs, the band focused on writing new songs that pushed the boundaries of their song writing. Communicating online meant they could still collaborate and generate fresh ideas, and then coming together to record and perfect each song in the studio.
