E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Saturnine Sighs

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Saturnine Sighs. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their magical sound.

This music struck me from the very first seconds.

A dreamy and hypnotic sound that manages to make you travel with your imagination.

Airy sounds that make you think of great landscapes. I felt immersed in nature and I opened my arms to the sky while admiring the immense expanses of the Canadian forests.

I felt the rivers flowing through me and the wind caressed my skin. This music made me feel alive and it was able to speak directly to my heart and soul.

It is marvelous how the male and female voices blend together.

A fragile and perfect balance that keeps the listener glued from the first to the last second.

A duo to keep under your radar.

Swoon is Saturnine Sighs’ Single Out Now!

Sincere and Dreamy!

Saturnine Sighs is a duo from London, Ontario, Canada. They make DIY music in bedrooms and basements. After all, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

The two met when composer Brenden McAuley needed a singer for an ambitious concept album. He discovered singer Brianna “Bree” Kane on the internet, and she just so happened to live in the same city only a bus-ride away. The two joined forces, with a shared interest in genre-defying music, and theatrical storytelling. They decided to temporarily shelve their concept album and focus on creating a more accessible debut release. After two years of hard work, their debut album is complete and ready for release in early 2021.

The band is dedicated to the art of surprise, mixing alt-rock, power pop, dream pop, psychedelic, sad indie, and synthwave into one package. Nothing is off limits. The Saturnine Sighs ethos contains only two principles: make amazing music, and do it on their own terms.
