E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Scarlett Siren & The Howlin’ Tramps

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Scarlett Siren & The Howlin’ Tramps. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify I was literally hypnotized by their music.

I must say that the musical style proposed by this band gave me goosebumps. I immediately understood their sound and it is as if I have known them for a long time.

Music that takes inspiration from the past but manages to be modern at the same time.

The singer’s interpretative style is so unique and magical that is able to make the music of Scarlett Siren & The Howlin ‘Tramps stand out from the crowd.

It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.

Surely we are faced with great musicians as the execution, interpretation, and production are flawless.

Absolutely recommended to everyone.

Unique and Extravagant!

Scarlett Siren & The Howlin’ Tramps are a musical collective formed in Portland, Oregon. Fronted by Burlesque Performer and Songwriter ‘Scarlett Siren’, the 5-piece blend the traditional with the unusual to cultivate an eclectic concoction of music now coined as “Psychedelic Swing”.

Scarlett’s undeniably captivating vocals are often compared to that of Amy Winehouse, while the band provides a solid backdrop of playful melodies, evocative beats and rugged bass lines. Influenced by Psychedelic Rock, Blues and Jazz their music is fuelled by emotional inquiry combined with an unquenchable thirst for a creative output. Their live shows ‘Pink Elephant Cabaret’ involves performances of both circus and burlesque which evokes an atmospheric experience for their audience. Additionally, Scarlett being a plus size model aims to promote empowerment and body positivity. Working alongside Polo Jones they have produced their first EP Cruel Mistress, which went on to receive rave reviews from Jam Sphere, Broken 8 Records, and Stereo Stickman.
