Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Sean Boots. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his way of compising music.
From the first second I liked the sound of this artist.
A refined sound that in some moments reminded me of the compositional style of the Dave Matthews Band.
An extreme attention to detail has given to these songs a unique and original musicality.
I like Sean’s vocal timbre, a high, precise, and immediately recognizable voice that distinguishes the sound of this eclectic artist even more.
The production is good and the mix leaves the right space for each sound element and his songs breathe well.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
Immovable Object Vs Irresistible Force is Sean Boots’ Single Out Now!
Original and Refined!
Sean Boots is a singer, pianist, guitarist and songwriter based in Seattle, Washington. In a past era he fronted Seattle’s Amateur Lovers and is now re-emerging as a solo artist after several years of self-imposed musical hibernation. With the Lovers he released a single studio album under Stone Gossard’s Loosegroove Records, Virgin White Lies, which is considered by Huffington Post to be one of the “Underrated albums of the 90’s”.
He toured Australia with Ben Folds Five in support of their Whatever and Ever Amen album and spread the power pop gospel across America with numerous tours down the West Coast and a notable performance at the CMJ Festival in NYC. He’s been featured with his band in Keyboard magazine, his song “Rubik’s Cube” plays as credits roll in the documentary Cubers, and he was a staple in the Pacific Northwest post-grunge music scene.
