E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Sebastea

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Sebastea. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of his music.

Right away I liked this talented artist’s music.

A different and weirdly fascinating genre.

A music that takes inspiration from the music of the past, from traditional music. Real and epic sounds.

You can hear the breath of Ottoman warriors in the sound of this artist.

His voice seems to be like that of a storyteller recounting a past battle.

With its light and harmonious timbre, the voice is like a veil of hope that rests on the heart.

The production is fantastic, the sounds are cinematic, intense, and powerful.

This music would work well as a soundtrack to historical films or television series like Vikings.

Truly a great find that I recommend to everyone.

Gemini is Sebastea’s Single Out Now!

Epic and Intense!

Sebastea’s debut single “Gemini” is an atmospheric story of death, love, war and revolt, told through the eyes of twin gods Castor and Pollux. Comprising of 3 different verses and an instrumental break, Gemini shies away from the traditional pop structure, however by using repetition, motifs and recapitulation, still retains a sense of newfound familiarity that holds the listener’s attention.

In Gemini, Sebastea’s lulling vocals also serve as pads and maps out the general structure of the first two verses that differ in time signatures but are similar in how layered the vocals are. The 2 verses build up to a cinematic instrumental climax which then resolves into a melancholic and powerful ending that references the intro of the song. Gemini is inspired by dreams, magic, mythology, and everything otherworldly.
