Memphis Stone and The Elevators are back with a new cool single and I want to share my thoughts about it.
The groove of this new song immediately put me in a good mood and took me back to the 70s.
My neck started to move on the beat and I had a hard time staying still while writing. Serious makes you want to dance because of its energetic cadence and uplifting melody.
Already in the past Memphis Stone and The Elevators had shown to us that they know how to do it but in my opinion with this new single, they have raised the bar even more.
I found no flaws in terms of production, interpretation, and execution … all is perfect!
I was already a fan of this band but now, if possible, I am even more so.

Serious is the 5th single from UK-based Memphis Stone and the Elevators.
It’s a stomping grove of a track, which fuses trademark elements of Memphis’ Northern Soul roots with the driving groove of Weaver and Bonnetti’s powerhouse rhythm section. The layers of classic Hammond organ and brass, serve to give the track an infectious and nostalgic vibe that makes you want to put on your headphones, crank up the volume and dance like nobody’s watching. The song’s lyrics focus on the compulsive nature and addictiveness of love and relationships, when you know you’re in too deep but you just can’t stop yourself.
