our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Shae Brock. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked her intriguing music a lot.
I was literally fascinated by the sonic universe and the artistic vision of this talented artist.
Sexy music that in some moments made me think of Lana Del Rey. Shae Brock’s voice mesmerized me as the mermaids did with Ulysses in Homer’s odyssey.
The video is fantastic with images filmed with a super 8 to give a psychedelic and vintage look.
The sensuality of this artist is priceless, her voice is able to speak directly to the heart and soul and makes you travel with your imagination.
I became a fan instantly, I love the nostalgia and mystery that these intense melodies manage to create.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Shae Brock has been creating her own wave of sound called Dream Rock, which publications have described as “a satisfying sonic revival of Laurel Canyon in the 60s.” Brock recently independently released a debut EP called, Dreamers Club. Some milestones include a collaboration single with Gucci Mane, before pivoting to this new genre, and reaching over a million streams with EP, Dreamers Club.
Brock was born and raised in Arizona, and her state’s limitless landscape of desert and mountain has worked its way deep into her songwriting. – a process she describes in almost mystical tones: “I can become different songs and different stories and feelings and characters – like one big painting with all different colors.” Now residing in Southern California, she finds her inspiration through deep connections, moments you can taste, architecture, history, and that ever nostalgic feeling of a retro memory that pulls her in.
