Are you ready for a wild ride? The irreverent style of this band is contagious.

Their alternative rock with grunge and punk nuances is able to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

You can feel that these guys spend a lot of time in the rehearsal room as they have achieved an enviable musical alchemy.

Sink Or Swim is a tune that although inspired by a way of making music from the past, in my opinion from the 90s, manages to be modern. The melodic line is innovative and also the singer’s vocal interpretation is fresh and powerful… he manages to give the right intensity supported by the band that plays really well.

The sound of silktape is direct and sincere, these guys don’t rely on computers and beats but only on real instruments on which they spit blood to improve themselves every day.

Go and listen to them, it’s worth it!

Brighton based shoe-gazers ‘silktape’ have had a fast start since their debut in 2022. In their short time playing they’ve made an impression on the South East’s thriving rock scene, supporting bands such as Snayx, Dutch Criminal Record and Crystal Tides.

Having started the year by winning the ‘Aux Award’ for best up and coming artist off the back of their debut release ‘Stride’, the boys look to pull no punches as they continue their ascent. ‘silktape’ are George Clark (lead vocals, guitar), Jake Marvin (guitar), Callum Greig (bass), Alex Mold (drums). They make music with a keen sense of nostalgia whilst remaining current. Their songs have a focus on big drops but harbour catchy, memorable choruses.
