Snakes is Fantuzzi’s Ep Out Now

Good Day Noir Family,
Fantuzzi’s Snakes EP doesn’t tiptoe into your ears—it kicks down the door with flair.

Snakes is Fantuzzi’s Ep Out Now

The title track opens with a cartoonish voice that feels lifted from some lost late-night animation, quickly launching into a gritty, modern Western groove.

There’s something wild and cinematic about it—like stepping into a psychedelic desert showdown directed by Tarantino. This isn’t just rock; it’s rock with character, performed by a band clearly unafraid to mess with expectations.

The vocal interplay between the male and female leads adds a theatrical energy. It’s not just singing—it’s performance, a back-and-forth that feels more like characters acting out a dusty, offbeat dream. “Snakes” pulses with urgency, dragging you along whether you’re ready.

“Gala” doesn’t let the momentum dip. Instead, it shifts the tone into something darker, colder, and clubbier. It has the cheeky grit of British post-punk with the industrial heartbeat of a Berlin basement. The vocals, drenched in reverb, hypnotize more than they lead. There’s a sweaty, like dancing alone in a packed room where no one’s quite sure what time it is.

Then there’s “Morphine Daydreams,” which closes the EP on a surreal, cinematic note. Think Nancy Sinatra in a fever dream, drifting through slow tremolo guitar and a rhythm that trudges like a carnival caravan pulling into town.

When the female voice joins in for the chorus, the track blooms into a ghostly harmony—beautiful and strange. There’s an undercurrent of romance, but also danger. You get the sense this dream could turn sideways at any moment.

What Fantuzzi offers with Snakes is a tightly curated vision—one that merges grit with elegance, humor with style, and nostalgia with a distinct modern flair.

It’s quirky, theatrical, and incredibly sure of itself. You might not know what’s coming next, but you’ll want to find out.

Daring!

Fantuzzi is a glam/garage/psych-pop musical tour-de-force blending punk rock energy with hypnotic electronic undertones and a fierce interplay of male and female vocals. Drawing comparisons to La Femme, Fat White Family, Black Lips, and PJ Harvey, their sound is as catchy as it is chaotic, and always unmistakably their own.

Formed in Berlin by lovers and longtime collaborators Juliette Wallace (Kamoos, Morphine Ridges, Camera) and Rhys Marshall (Sour Janes, Sonny & the Dog), Fantuzzi took shape when powerhouse rhythm section Tom Chester and Sofia Albanese joined them. The band’s live shows are a kinetic burst of performative glamour, earning them a reputation across Berlin’s underground and beyond.

With their debut single SNAKES (produced by Cisco Parisi), Fantuzzi is ready to take the European scene by storm.
