E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Summer Rain

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Summer Rain. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their way of composing music.

This song immediately put me in a good mood like in those hot summer days when a bit of cool breeze comes from the sea or in this case like when the rain comes to cool the air.

The music of this band relaxed me and took everyday problems out of my head making me spend 5 minutes of pure serenity.

It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding.

The melodic choices are never predictable and banal and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

The production and in particular the mix is very professional and leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Fresch and Relaxing!

Summer Rain consists of three young bucks – Will McLelland (Guitar, Vocals), Josh Beausoleil (Bass, Vocals), Logan Hale (Drums, Slide Whistle). Taking influence from Coldplay, Kings of Leon, and Oasis (among many others), their sound captures the ethos of the modern-rock greats without forcing a generic sound or image. They are a melting pot of personalities, energetic performances, and melodies made for singing in the shower. They come from the small coastal town of Qualicum Beach, Canada, where there are more retirement homes than you can shake a denture at. Despite this, their music is youthful, relatable, and maintains the timelessness of radio hits.

The band has worked very hard on their upcoming release. Feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with countless comparisons to big names you know and love.

Summer Rain’s message is to perceive reality in a way that keeps you at peace with uncertainty and adversity, and to be confident in making positive changes to your own life and the world around you.
