After the announcement of the cast of voices, for the original version, consisting of Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and Snoop Dogg for “The Addams Family 2”, a short teaser reveals that the film will be released on Halloween of 2021, precisely on 8 October.
The Hollywood Reporter also recently reported the news of two cast additions: Bill Hader and Javon Walton, who will respectively voice the new character of Cyrus and the younger brother of the Addams, Pugsley. Walton will replace “Stranger Things” and “It” star Finn Wolfhard, who voiced Pugsley in the first 2019 film.
Director Greg Tiernan returns to direct the sequel. “The success of last year’s animated film was proof of the Addams family’s enduring legacy and their ability to metaphorically embody popular culture values. This sequel will be just as fun and we’re thrilled to welcome Bill Hader and Javon Walton as well. Thus adding two great actors to an already star-studded cast, ”said director Tiernan. “The Addams Family 2” executive produces Jonathan Glickman, Cassidy Lange and Andrew Mittman, while Laura Brousseau and Kevin Pavlovic will participate as co-directors along with Tiernan.
