Good Day Noir Family,
If you’re ready to plunge headlong into the abyss and embrace the shadows, then look no further than Matthew S. Horner’s latest opus, “The Dark Room.”

The Dark Room is Matthew S. Horner’s Album Out Now

This album is a sonic exploration of the darkest recesses of the human soul.

From the very first note, it’s evident that Horner has crafted a work of art that exudes a deep energy that’s intoxicating.

Each song on this album is a labyrinthine journey through the psyche, and there’s nothing banal about it.

Horner’s musical vision is like a rollercoaster through the depths of the night, where twists and turns abound, and you’re never quite sure where the next sonic corner will take you.

One of the most remarkable aspects of “The Dark Room” is its ability to seamlessly blend the hard-hitting sounds of the ’80s with a modern edge.

It’s a delicate balancing act that Horner executes flawlessly, creating a sonic landscape that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.

The devil is in the details, they say, and this album is brimming with them. Take, for example, the hauntingly atmospheric intro to “Figure It Out” with its dark keys, setting the stage for what’s to come.

It’s a small touch, but it speaks volumes about the thought and care that went into crafting this musical journey.

What truly sets “The Dark Room” apart, though, is the passion in Horner’s voice. He doesn’t just sing; he pours his heart and soul into every lyric, every note. It’s a performance that grabs hold of you and refuses to let go.

In a world where music often plays it safe, Matthew S. Horner stands as a beacon of audacity and creativity. “The Dark Room” is not just an album; it’s an intense musical journey that will leave you breathless, exhilarated, and hungry for more.

Powerful!

I started this album with “figure it out” I decided to let loose and write what I felt and not try to write what I thought people wanted to hear. I tapped into all I know of music, developed a better process of mixing and recorded all guitars by mic’ing my amps and creating tones that I love.

It showcases a darker side of me, more heavy tones and a lot more harmonies and bigger chorus drops. It is called “the dark room” because that’s my studio. it’s not big, and I have neon signs with dark purple lighting. It’s the atmosphere I created it all in. My producer is Adam Buckley on this. He just gets me. He will always be my producer and worked on my first album as well.
