E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – The High 70s

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The High 70s. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music.

I liked the sound of this band right away.

A direct rock without strings attached that unleashes contagious energy. This is the real rock, the one born in the rehearsal rooms with beer-stained carpets and have the names of other bands on the walls.

This sound oozes blood and sweat and takes you back in time before there were computers to dominate music, when people still met to create something unique together, when guys were lost for hours in the flow of music without thinking about what would happen tomorrow.

The High 70s offer music that is capable of awakening your most rock spirit.

The production is fantastic, perfect for the genre and the mix in particular leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.

Fresh and Interesting!

The High 70s came to life in the dark Los Angeles clubs, where the band felt the persistent connection to the music of of late 70s era that turned glam and garage rock into punk, new wave and post punk. The music exploded with dark energy and decadence. The High 70s sound taps this energy and infuses it with stories, real and imagined, of the club goers and rock ’n’ rollers who inhabit this world.

Chris Williams – bass, vocals / Princess Frank – drums / L. J. Scott – guitar / Ethan Allen – producer
