Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Love Gamblers. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere of his music.
This artist offers very interesting music that looks to the past but at the same time manages to be modern.
I especially liked the psychedelic nuances typical of the ’70s that appear in some songs on the album ‘The Love Gamblers‘.
The chord progression is never banal and you immediately realize that you are dealing with an artist of great experience who knows how to compose deep songs.
These songs made me travel back in time and I imagined the Sunset Blvd full of guys wearing bell-bottoms…yellowed photographs of a wonderful era of freedom.
These tunes carry that past with them but manage to be modern as well.
I liked the timbre of the voice, clear and direct, perfect for the genre.
An excellent discovery that I would recommend to everyone.
The Love Gamblers is The Love Gamblers’ Album Out Now!
The Love Gamblers is a Los Angeles based Pop/Americana collaboration headed by songwriter/vocalist/multi-instumentalist Jerry Juden, inspired by his love of vocal harmonies, clever lyrics and jangling guitars.
Jerry brings years of stage experience to the table, with continuing tenure in bands The Shamus Twins (heartland/ powerpop) and the Ultra Four (retro British Invasion/freak beat).
Envision a mix of Garage-Americana with Wilson-esque harmonies, a little Tom Petty, Jayhawks, modern DIY Indie and of course the cream of the British Invasion and you’ll get where The Love Gamblers are coming from!
