Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Lunar Keys. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their sound a lot.
As soon as I pressed the play button, the sound of this band brought me back to a compositional style that looks to the past but at the same time manages to be modern.
The harmonies of the keys reminded me of the eighties but then the guitars and voice, above all, made me think of a more modern musical productions.
This balance between past and future is the secret of this band to create a unique and immediately recognizable sound.
The production is excellent and these songs release a fascinating energy, some arrangements even made me feel the sand of the Sahara in my mouth.
Melodies that are like the wind, pass through you and leave that feeling of freshness on you.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Singer/Bass JC and drummer Dom are outcasts from a previous London band. Joined by keyboardist singer Lexi in Sep 2019 and later in Feb 2020 by “The Steve” guitarist & singer, who was found singing and playing guitar on “Umbrella” by Rihanna in a bar with Accordion and violin players. The Band were Longlisted for Glastonbury Emerging Talent 2020. New Single Silent Ricochet Drops is out now.
