Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Matterhorn Project. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his way of composing music.
As soon as I pressed the play button I was immediately fascinated by the mysterious atmosphere that the music of this artist manages to create, in some moments his style reminded me of Type or Negative.
Epic, twilight music that sounds like those full moon nights in the woods, when a bluish light colors the pines and the wolves begin to howl.
This Ep is very well conceived, a common thread links all the songs, and the magical hypnosis that these melodies are able to create is very intriguing.
We are faced with a talented artist with great compositional skills who offers courageous melodic intuitions accompanied by a chord progression that is never banal and obvious and that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The production is excellent I really liked the sound of the distorted guitars which are deep and dark, also the vocal interpretation is fantastic, a whisper that speaks directly to the listener’s soul.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
