The Northern Light Self Titled Album is Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed The Northern Light in the past but they are back with an Album and this is what I think about it.
The Northern Light Self Titled Album is Out Now
It’s nice and interesting to hear many songs from this band one after the other.
This truly allows you to immerse yourself in their musical world and understand their vision.
All these songs hide a veil of nostalgia, this band is always looking for real emotions. Somehow The Northern Light invites us to take off the mask and be real for a moment. Their music is direct and sincere.
It feels like these guys are just following their instincts. Even if they did not name these bands as their inspirations I believe there are also Radiohead and Grand Lee Buffalo overtones in their songs.
The alternative rock proposed by The Northern Light is refined and intense. A compositional style that looks to the past, the 90s in particular in my opinion. Perhaps the song that I liked the most is Tribes but I have to say that all the tunes are solid.
An album that I recommend everyone to go and listen to, you will experience great musical vibes.

The Northern Light (TNL) is an alternative rock band from the Seattle area. The band includes David Pollon (guitar, vocals), Kip Rondorf (drums) and Carl Larsson (bass, synths). The music explores musical themes of despair and redemption. TNL started as a singer-songwriter focused project for Pollon in 2016 and evolved into its current full band form by 2019. Fans of Meat Puppets, “Zuma” period Neil Young and maybe even RUSH will find a lot to love in TNL’s music.
