E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – The Old Youths

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Old Youths. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their “vintage” sound.

From the first seconds, I was already fascinated by the sound of this band.

Their way of composing songs has distant roots and mixes many genres and influences.

I felt the rock of the late 60s and the Alternative of the present-day merge into a unique and different recipe.

The chord progression is never predictable and banal and the listener is entertained from the first to the last second.

Beautiful production, simple but effective, and the mix that leaves the right space for each sound element makes the song breathe well.

Direct, sincere and captivating music that certainly has great potential. This Duo seems to have clear ideas on how to bring their music to the masses.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Yesterday Never Knows is The Old Youths’ Single Out Now!

Unique and Refined!

The British based duo consisting of Lucas Persin and Joshua Weaver have been writing songs together for nearly half a decade. This year, they decided to share what they had been occupied with for so long. Their debut single, ‘Midnight Takeaways’ encapsulated everything they had been working on, from swirling guitars verses and hard-hitting choruses to easily identifiable lyrical observations.

Now they’re back with their newest offering ‘Yesterday Never Knows’ featuring huge solos and groovy bass lines, mixed together with their usual observance for everyday occurrences in their lyrics.
