Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Oxford Drive Band. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify I liked the vibes of their music.
As soon as I hit the play button I didn’t know what to expect from this band and I have to say that I was positively impressed by their music.
The singer’s voice is fantastic in some passages she reminded me of Linda Perry of Four Non Blondes. A deep and nuanced vocal timbre that has the ability to speak directly to the heart and soul of the listener.
The new single The Long Way Home is a beautiful, hypnotic, and magical ballad that has the ability to make you travel with your imagination.
As I listened to this beautiful melody I closed my eyes and saw myself flying with the herons over the great American expanses.
The music of The Oxford Drive Band made me feel free and for a moment I forgot about everyday problems.
A marvelous discovery that I recommend to everyone.
