Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | The Silver Devils New Single Out Now!
The Silver Devils New Single Out Now!

Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed the music of The Silver Devils in the past here but they are out now with a new cool single ‘Love Potion No. 10′ and I want to share my thoughts about it.

Once again I was struck by the compositional skills of this band.

A very interesting melodic construction and never predictable harmonies.

Love Potion No. 10 hides a noir soul, a bit theatrical which then becomes a bit rock and ska. In short, in this song you can really find many nuances that make it very interesting.

The continuous variations manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

This tune is a sonic journey capable of creating different scenarios and atmospheres.

The best thing to do is to let yourself be carried away by this melody and enjoy the creativity of this eclectic band.

Another great song that I recommend everyone to listen to!

Theatrical and Fun!

Demetrio Donzelli on the story of Love Potion No. 10:

Heartbreak is a right of passage for being human, but when it happens to you it feels like nobody gets it. In love and in life I make a fool of myself. I was trying to make a love laugh, and it didn’t land.

Boom! – that was it. Goodbye Demetrio, I never want to see you again. My heart fell out of the socket in my chest. Like many others with an empty void where their heart used to be, I looked to fill myself up with love from anywhere but myself.

I listened to The Clovers’ Love Potion No. 9. The Clovers had a potion to cure their sadness, but it wasn’t exactly what I needed. Love Potion No. 9 gives it’s drinker the veneer of love to trick others, but I needed to fool myself.

I took Love Potion No. 9 and added my own ingredients. Love Potion No. 10 is for everyone who has ever sought the feeling of love, only to fall incredibly short.
