Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Super Late Night. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his rock vibes.
The compositional style of this artist immediately intrigued me. An irreverent and light-hearted approach to music in a typical English style.
The vibrations of this sound took me back in time and I imagined being in the 80s when the hair was backcombed and the jackets and pants were very loose.
The sounds used are reminiscent of those years but this somewhat vintage style manages to be modern at the same time.
The production is very good and the mix in particular leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and the listener is entertained from the first to the last second.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

The Super Late Night, from Manchester, England is the pop rock brainchild of songwriter and producer Louis Foulkes, inspired by the sad songs from pop punk records and decades of multi-genre influence, he delivers nostalgic styling with emo sensibilities. TSLN doesn’t just reimagine sounds, but blends synthetic textures, live instruments and modern production with candid lyrics and indie-pop vocal delivery.
