Hurtsfall have a unique approach: with no guitars, keyboards and Bass VI build a rich soundscape as a foundation for Sam’s distinctive theatrical delivery. Hurtsfall blend gothic rock, post-punk, and synth/pop, recalling the essence of your favourites with a fresh genre-spanning twist. Based in Nottingham, the ancestral home of Lord Byron, they share his penchant for gothic romantic verses.

In 2019 they launched to rave reviews. No stranger to live performances, Hurtsfall have built a reputation for putting on an epic show, playing venues and festivals nationwide, sharing the stage with acts like Strange Circuits (the first act signed to legendary industrial label Wax Trax! Records), Auger, and goth legends Skeletal Family.

In 2020 their first music video featured on Post-Punk.com. Hurtsfall then appeared in German alternative bible Sonic Seducer. In 2021 they played Whitby as part of the much-loved Spring Goth Festival. The group expanded their fanbase further with spins on renowned national Canadian radio show The Strombo Show. Scene favourite Andy Cousin also regularly plays Hurtsfall tracks on his radio show.

2023 is set to be a massive year for the band with a host of gigs and festivals including returning to Goth City Leeds, and debuting at HRH Goth at the O2 Academy Sheffield.
