Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Treasures In The Valley is The Connecting Dots' Album
Treasures In The Valley is The Connecting Dots’ Album

Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed The Connecting Dots but they are back with a new album and I want to share my thoughts about it.

Treasures In The Valley is The Connecting Dots’ Album

The atmospheres created by this album are intriguing and intense.

These magical and ethereal vibes manage to transport you to a parallel universe. There are 80’s influences in the musical arrangements expertly mixed with more modern melodic nuances that put this music in a limbo all of its own.

The Connecting Dots are a band with a complete and solid artistic vision. The constant search for the sublime hides in nostalgic and autumnal worlds.

These guys are able to bring out their deepest emotions, those that reside in the maze of our subconscious … the only place where there are no masks but only truth.

This music is pure and sincere, The Connecting Dots do not look for shortcuts and just follow their instincts by offering songs of excellent quality.

Absolutely reconfirmed!

Treasures In The Valley is The Connecting Dots’ Album Out Now!

Intense!

Treasures In The Valley is The Connecting Dots’ Album

The Connecting Dots is a melody loving and song oriented alternative pop/ rock band based in Stockholm, Sweden. The core of the band consists of singer Helena Sundstrom and guitarist Johan Borg. Having known each other for a long time, and being involved in several musical projects during the years, they decided to make something great together in the late 2020. With their diverse musical influences, this project could lead just anywhere. And it does! 🙂

The ten songs on their debut album ”Oblivious Beat” (released on streaming and vinyl on Direct Lines Records in February 2021) were written and recor- ded in just a few weeks, trying to keep it spontaneous and not over-think anything. This way it became an album of songs that fit together, rather than one or two ”hits” surrounded by fillers. (And yes, this band likes the idea of making albums, old-fashioned as it may seem…) With poetic lyrics, dealing with subjects like time, escapism, memories and big city dreams, the cinema- tic songs and the analog syntheseizer-led music would make a great sound- track to a film.

”Oblivious Beat” gained a lot of attention especially in the USA, South America, Canada, France, Great Britain and Germany. Shortly after its release, The Connecting Dots signed a deal with London based company OML, providing music for commercials as well as Netflix and other tv companies.

The album was followed by stand-alone single ”Dream Lover”, which became a summer hit in 2021. The lack of touring due to the worldwide pandemic kept the band busy in the studio. Now the result is here, in shape of The Connec ting Dots second album, entitled ”Treasures In The Valley”, out now on vinyl and streaming.
