Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Vincent Liou. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vintage sound of his music.
As soon as I hit the play button I felt transported to the 80s.
A vintage sound that has some modern nuances and that makes the music of this artist recognizable from the first listen.
I particularly liked the sounds chosen for the keyboards.
The arrangements and harmonic intuituions are very interesting.
The chord progression is never banal and obvious and with continuous twists, it manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Nice mix that leaves the right space for every sound element and the song breathes well.
Go and listen to Vincent’s music, it is worth it!
Big Surf is Vincent Liou’s Ep Out Now!
Vintage and fascinating!
What would a happy person do? They might eat a salad or go on a walk. For 30-year-old Vincent Liou, he has always been able to count on singing/songwriting. In his EP, “Big Surf,” he writes about being someone’s failure of a booty call, walking around the park so much he practically lives there, those people that quote things without any context, and his first date at Big Surf (a waterpark in Mesa, AZ).
