Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Wastoid. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the uniqueness of their music.
From the very first notes, you realize that you are in front of a band way different from all the others.
These guys have a unique musical vision and courageously follow a musical path never walked before.
Their music is psychedelic, acid and hides something sinister. I would define this kind of sound evolution of Grunge.
Crude guitars, riffs as sharp as blades, and a moaning voice are able to create a sense of constant tension.
The chord progression is unpredictable and for this reason, Wastoids keep you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
I liked their music very much, it is so different and innovative that I think it is simply brilliant.
These guys have something to say and they have found their way to express themselves.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Unique and Weird!
Wastoid is predominately influenced by early goth rock notes like Molchat Doma and psychedelic metal acts like early Black Sabbath and Earth while also having roots in classic punk with influences coming from bands like Circle Jerks, Descendants, and The Dead Kennedys.
