E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Wesley David

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Wesley David. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was intrigued by the vibes of his music.

The psychedelic style proposed by this artist immediately convinced me.

A compositional method that reminded me of the legendary English bands, an eclectic and irreverent style capable of speaking directly to the soul and heart of the listener.

It is evident that Wesley David has a great compositional experience behind him as his new single Glass Half Full is full of rhythmic and melodic variations. Only a great singer-songwriter is capable of composing songs with such a great artistic variety.

The execution and interpretation are flawless. I also liked that the production was left slightly raw making this sound even more sincere.  Perfect artistic choice in my opinion to bring out, even more, the uniqueness of his sound.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone!

Psychedelic and Unique!

Wesley David has lived 2 very different lives, and the only thing that’s held them – and himself – together has been an obsession with music. Growing up in a self-described ‘Wacky, doomsday Bible cult’, the Singer-Songwriter has relied on a love of all things Rock ‘n’ Roll since a young age as an escape – one which would eventually lead him to become a touring musician in LA.

Influenced at a young age by the alt-rock and pop of the 90s/2000s like Oasis , Nirvana and Radiohead, plus classic and prog rock from the Who to Rush, his whimsical, tongue-in-cheek songwriting style was both identity and escape from the often hopeless and frightening world of an Apocalypse delayed. He lives in Long Beach, CA and is preparing to tour throughout 2022 in support of his forthcoming 6-song EP.
