E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Zebedee

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Zebedee. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the haunting melodies of their songs.

Already from the first notes proposed by this band, you realize that you are in front of guys who like to explore melodic paths different from the usual ones.

Their chord progression does not follow a predictable harmony and always tries to surprise by inserting unexpected variations.

I really liked the singing interpretation of the voice that with its original way of singing distinguishes the general sound of Zebedee.

In some moments this band reminded me of Radiohead for some harmonic choices and for how the songs slowly grow and go crazy.

The overall blend is very good and you can tell that these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this enviable musical understanding.

Definitely Zebedee propose innovative music and they are able to follow their instincts more than the modern musical trends.

Marlon Brando is Zebedee’s Single Out Now!

A very talented band to keep an eye on!

Quote: “This track is our stab at a love song. It was supposed to be a sweet, slow ballad but quickly turned into a beast of its own, with the help by Grammy Award winner, Dani Avila, recorded out of Flux Studio’s in NYC. This song in short, is an analogy on the duality of man.

Marlo Brando being the all unattainable ‘perfect man’, carved from stone to be hidden away in private museums. It’s never what it seems and the good is often as bad as the ugly.
