Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Alicia's Song is Joe Pope's New Single
Alicia’s Song is Joe Pope’s New Single

Good Day Noir Family,
Joe Pope is back with a new moving single that has a bitter-sweet story behind it.

This song gave me goosebumps and touched me deeply. I particularly felt this tune because I also experienced the same thing.

I lost my sister to cancer 3 years ago and before she died I dedicated a song to her … it’s the last song she listened to before saying goodbye.

Alicia’s Song is dedicated to the sister of Joe Pope’s wife who unfortunately was taken away by that cursed disease.

The song is beautiful, full of infinite sweetness, and when in the chorus Joe sings “If you could see her now” I saw Alicia and for a moment I felt I always knew her.

Life goes on but the beautiful energy that a person brings into this life remains forever. I picture her in heaven dancing with my sister…I’m sure they have become friends and I think they want to tell us, don’t worry guys … we’re just fine.

A great song that I recommend to everyone.

Sweet and Deep!

Quote: “This song is a very personal work about a woman in her last days. Alicia was a gentle soul who didn’t live an easy life. We lost her to cancer just before Thanksgiving. But before we did, she was surrounded by those who loved her including my wife (her sister), her boyfriend Kenny, her parents, family and childhood friends. This is a song written at her request. It’s about a small part of her life and those who loved her.
