Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Because is Ocna's Single
Because is Ocna’s Single

Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s featured band is Ocna and their single Because.

Because is Ocna’s Single

As soon as I pressed the play button I was literally hypnotized by the voice of the singer of this band.

A magical and ethereal vocal timbre that makes you fly with your imagination. I imagined having an odalisque who danced just for me with bewitching and sinuous movements.

Because it’s a beautiful song with 80’s undertones that manages to be modern at the same time.

You can feel that all members of the band have a solid musical background which allows them to compose songs of absolute quality.

Ocna is a mix between Mazzy Star, and Radiohead, honestly I have not found any flaws with their music. I’m sure these guys will lead the way as they produce fantastic songs where the attention to detail is obsessive.

I recommend everyone to go and listen to their music. You will be kidnapped by their musical universe.

Refined and Ethereal!

Because is Ocna’s Single

British/Swedish four-piece Ocna combine electronica with chiming guitars and spiralling synths to create powerful indie rock that’s uplifting, epic and at times ambient. Formed in 2019 in the English coastal city of Brighton, the band consists of Fiona Robertson (vocals), Karl Nilsson (electronics, programming, guitar, lap steel), Matt Burns (drums) and Dale Hudson (guitar, bass, synths).

Ocna like music that creates its own world, immersing the listener in sound that reflects joy, sadness, a sense of ease or uneasiness. The band has influences ranging from contemporary musicians such as School of Seven Bells, Beach House and Big Thief to classic acts including Joy Division, Cocteau Twins and Scott Walker.
