Bitter Morning is Touray’s Single

The alternative and psychedelic style proposed by this artist intrigued me.

A compositional method that looks to the past, to the 90s, but manages to be modern at the same time.

Touray is definitely a visionary artist who experiments with music because he wants to look for true emotions, those that are hidden in the darkest corners of our subconscious.

Bitter Morning is the debut single and already demonstrates great compositional maturity. An artist who has a lot of talent inside and above all has many things to say, the lyrics are in fact deep and full of meaning.

The production is a bit rough but this artistic choice adds a greater charm to the whole project, making it more sincere and direct.

An artist to keep under the radar that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

Touray introduces a new found voice in Indie Rock. Taking influence from the likes of Radiohead, The Walkmen, Jimmy Eat World & The Strokes, his music combines rhythmic and songful guitar-driven tracks with poetic and soulful storytelling, to create unique anthemic songs which narrate moments in his life.

“This song narrates a moment in time when I was dealing with severe depression and the idea for the lyrics came about when I was high at a park reading poetry and got lost in a deep conversation with the blaring Sun in the sky. It was quite a cathartic conversation which inspired this song. The track is moody, but upbeat and energetic, balancing that contrast between depression and optimism, hoping that one day the sun will shine bright for the character in the song who is longing for happiness, however currently it is too dark for them to see that light at the end of the tunnel”.
