Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Brad Harbeck’s Great North. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere created by their music.
The sincere and direct sound of this band struck me from the very first notes.
A very interesting, unique, and mysterious compositional style. As soon as I read the name of the band I thought I was in front of a band that plays Folk music and instead I was amazed to hear a more alternative sound.
Somehow this way of composing music reminded me of London-based bands although maybe there are influences from Men at Work, at least for what I feel.
The production is excellent and I really liked the general sound blend, you feel that we are dealing with experienced musicians who offer mature songs with a never predictable and banal chord progression that entertains the listener from the first to the last second.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
