This artist is very eclectic. A fascinating and unique artistic vision. Although there are influences from the past, I have not been able to bring this music closer to any other artist.

The vocal interpretation is original, a singing style that manages to hypnotize. A deep and sincere vocal timbre that makes you appreciate, even more, the lyrics.

The sound universe created by Oliver Birch is nostalgic and ethereal and his compositional approach is modern and futuristic.

I love when artists are so free to express themselves creatively. Oliver Birch does not follow commercial rules but only his instinct to compose these beautiful songs.

There is a coherent thread that runs through all the tracks on Burning Daylight, which makes listening to the album an intense experience.

Go and listen it is worth it.

Oliver Birch is a singer-songwriter from  Auckland New Zealand. He writes about existential angst, the gradual erosion of democracy, and having no friends. These concerns belie the varied, gorgeous, and hopeful instrumental palette utilised in his music, which covers several genres from new-wave, to jazz, to pop.

Every song is written, performed, and produced by Oliver, and each is a deeply personal offering that he shares hoping that others might find comfort in it.
